Home-made Country Salisbury Steak
1 lb Ground Beef
1 Pkg Dry Onion Soup Mix
2 Eggs (Beaten)
Pinch of: Pepper, Garlic Powder
3 Tbsp Bread Crumbs, Oatmeal, or Cracker Crumbs
2-3 Jars or Pkgs Brown Gravy
(Optional: Mushrooms, onions. I would saute 1 C. of either or both and add to gravy mix.)
Combine all ingredients except gravy in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and form into patties. Place in a baking dish and cover with gravy. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done. You can make this dish in a crock-pot. Place patties in a crock-pot, layering patties and gravy. Cook on the high setting for 4-5 hours or until cooked through.
