Navajo Fry Bread


2 C. Flour

1Tsp Salt

2 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

2 Tsp Dry Milk

2 Tsp Shortening

3/4 C. Warm Water

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, then mix in shortening with a fork. Add water and work into a soft dough. Let rest and rise for 20 minutes.

Pinch off golf ball size pieces and flatten out with your palms. Heat some shortening in a frying pan and fry bread on both sides until done. Serve hot with honey.
